Crafternoon

Term times:

For ages 7-12 years

Join us for Scrapbooking! Children will be encouraged to explore their creativity, imagination and self-expression and be supported to develop various skills.

Targeted skills include fine motor skills, specifically motor control – required for colouring inside lines or tracing, scissor skills and pincer grasp. Children will have opportunities to develop their attention and sustained concentration to tasks and social skills, such as working together to create a collaborative project with a group, navigate conflict and share ideas.

Children will also practise identifying emotions and self-regulation through play, art, craft, and mindfulness.

DATES: Monday, 22 January 2024

TIME: 2.00pm - 4.OOpm

Term Group - Boogie @ Biala

Boogie @ Biala is a dance group aimed at children 6-12 years of age supporting the development of skills needed to transition into community-based dance classes. The classes consist of warm up and stretches, rhythm and body awareness, collaborative games, beginner level dance routines, improvisation and opportunities for performance.

Term Group - The SEA Bridge

The SEA Bridge is a neurodiversity-affirming, strength-based program, facilitated by a Biala Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist, to support your child. Created by autistic and neurodivergent adults for autistic and neurodivergent youth, your children will gain confidence in authentically expressing themselves and advocating for their needs.

Term Group - Fun with Friends

For ages 8-12. Biala Social Groups - facilitated by Occupational Therapists - provide a supported space for neurodivergent children to connect with each other while exploring and developing their own communication, social and regulation needs. Typical activities in this group include Arts and Craft while facilitating conversations that may arise.
