Biala Adventurers - Program of Support

Term times:

Program of Support for 10-12 year olds

Biala Adventurers provides children with a structured, inclusive environment to develop their social skills and connections through creativity and imagination.

Group Goal:

· To encourage children to create their own characters/heroes  within  a group scenario, promoting the development of social skills, accepting change, following the ideas/direction of others, turn taking, communication and expression of ideas.

Expected Outcomes for Children:

Children will:

· be supported to develop a character/hero whom they can relate to and evolve with.

· use their imagination, express their own ideas and learn to respect and accept differing ideas of others.

· manage unexpected changes within the group.  

· build on their communication skills to share with peers , be supported in  their problem-solving skills.

· build on their fine and gross motor skills during activities derived from imaginative play.

Parents will be encouraged to support their children in home activities.

Cost:  $172.00/session. Program runs for 12 sessions Total cost : $2064.00

2024 Session Dates and Time:  Tuesdays, 4.30pm to 6.00pm

* The cost includes session planning, set up/pack up, writing of case notes and a report for your child at the end of each program.

* Short notice cancellations do not apply, participants will be charged for all scheduled sessions, regardless of the number of sessions attended.

* Two weeks' notice to exit the program is required.

Families who are joining a group for the first time are required to attend a 1:1 initial assessment session with a therapist/Early Childhood Teacher (ECT). This can be face-to-face, via telehealth or by phone.
