Find Out More

As a registered provider of NDIS services Biala can provide services to all children with an NDIS plan, regardless of how the plan is managed.

What is the NDIS?

  • The NDIS is a way of providing support for people with disability, their families and carers in Australia.
  • The NDIS philosophy is all about giving choice and control to people with disability.
  • The NDIS funds support that is deemed reasonable and necessary. Reasonable and necessary supports help people achieve their goals.
  • These goals may be linked to greater independence, social and economic participation and meaningful community involvement.

There are three categories that all NDIS supports fall into - Core, Capacity and Capital:

  • Core supports enable participants to complete activities of daily living.
  • Capacity Building supports are where all the therapy type supports for early childhood are everything that relates to skill development.
  • Capital supports are an investment, such as assistive technologies, equipment and home or vehicle modifications.

Biala Peninsula is a registered provider of NDIS services for young children birth to twelve. Biala is registered for the following NDIS registration groups:

  • Early Childhood Supports
  • Therapeutic Supports
  • Group/Centre Activities
