Biala is delighted to congratulate Lexi Bosmans on graduating as an Occupational Therapist and accepting a permanent role with our team.
Her journey with Biala began at the end of 2024 when she joined us as a student on placement. Following her placement, she was invited to interview for a Therapy Assistant (TA) position and has now taken the exciting next step into a qualified Occupational Therapist role.
Reflecting on her journey, she says choosing to stay at Biala was an easy decision.
“For me, it seemed logical to remain with an organisation which has supported me since my first day on placement. The team at Biala were willing to take me on just 5.5 months after my spinal fusion, knowing that I still had major restrictions on what kind of activities I could do. Moving into my time as a TA, I continued to feel supported both personally and professionally”.
What she enjoys most about her work is seeing the children she supports grow in confidence and develop new skills, while also working alongside families to help them achieve positive outcomes together.
“What I love most about the children I work with is watching them grow and develop confidence in their own abilities. I also enjoy supporting the family unit as a whole so that they can further support their child".
As she begins this new chapter, she is looking forward to expanding her experience, working with a wider variety of clients and supporting children in a range of settings, including daycares and here at Biala.
“I can't wait to see what this next chapter brings”.
